Critical fall height (CFH) refers to the shock absorbency of a surface material and is the maximum height from which a life-threatening injury would not be expected to happen. Are There Unsafe Chemicals?
You can count on kids to put their hands and mouths all over everything, and (naturally) playground surfacing is no exception. Luckily, the California Integrated Waste Management Board performed extensive testing for potential skin irritants and carcinogenic chemicals, and the tests showed no skin irritation or adverse health effects as a result of contact or ingestion.
